I will be in the South West in April,I need to get to Dawlish Warren from Exeter bus station. Can anyone tell me how much a single fare will be please,I should be at the bus station at about 6pm.
Regards.
Yes have to admit that went through my mind as well and it would be cheaper than the bus.
Cazb68 do you have a rail card of any kind?
I have done the gorgeous journey between Exeter and the Warren many times,I have spent many holidays in Dawlish and the Warren.....I would go by train but this time from what I can see from the timetables I would have an hour wait for a train,Looking at the bus timetable,It seems like I will have just a 15 min wait.
No Lynne,I don't have a railcard.
I think the bus will be the better option for this holiday,Its just a shame that I will miss out on the estuary views.....Oh well!
There is a train in the week from Exeter Central at 6.25 (10 minutes walk from the Bus Station, you will pass John Lewis) .will get you at Dawlish Warren in 20 minutes at 6.46. Fare is £3.90 single. Bus fare is nearer to £5 and will take 45 minutes.
Thank you for that,I will be arriving on Saturday at around 6pm,I didn't realise that it was only a 10 min walk to Exeter St Davids from the bus station,If that's correct then there is a train at 6.27 I think it is....That would be perfect!
According to Traveline.com the train leaves Exeter Central at 18.35 which is much nearer to the bus station especially if you have luggage.
If its Saturday, there is a 6.21 from Central (City Centre) direct,, the 6.37 is change at St Davids.
