Finally the funding of banks and private landlords with tax payers money may be unravelling. Is it now time to start building council houses again? This would not only create jobs but also reduce the horrendous housing benefit bill I'm forced to contribute to, and provide decent housing for people.

and this is why this bedroom tax is a monstrosity,lack of council housing being built means there is nowhere for these people to downsize to, private accomodation costs more in LHA. A lot of the high amounts paid in HB/LHA fall in the wealthy capital of London. An average 3bedroom house in this area is £750 per month in london that would be a week   no wonder all these people have been buying property to let.
