I see in todays Gazette, that Dawlish has got £10k for new sluice gates on the Brook to help combat flooding.
While they installing them, wouldn't it be a good idea if they were to dredge the Brook from the Manor Gardens down to the beach so clearing it of all the silt and other rubbish that has gathered over the years?
It would also make the swans happier along with possibly attracting other water fowl by making it that much deeper.
Or is that hoping for too much?
