Just driven back from Teignmouth and can't believe the small hedgeslip still remains just past Holcombe Dip.

It must have happened at least two weeks ago.

See Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980

Appears the land owner could be prosecuted

Hedgeslip still there.  Also if you are walking down Smugglers Lane along the seafront to Teignmouth you'll find that the stream has burst from its culvert and the bottom of Smugglers Lane is just fast running water.  There is a barrier across the side path to the sea wall.  You can still walk it but take care and you'll probably get wet feet.

If the hedge in question is owned by an individual it may be part of an insurance claim and therefore they may be unable to do anything at present as the insurance companies are rather busy.

Leatash = do you know how much council tax the local council get to keep ?

local council £200ish

Government the rest,

Therefore council tax not spent on us, spent on MP's in London (oh and abroad)
