General Discussion

Hi everyone,

Today I was very pleased to be offered a flat in Sidney Court so that I'll be able to live nearer to my family in Devon. I won't be able to view the property for a couple of weeks until the current tenant has left.

In the meantime I'm hoping that some of you might be able to give me some information perhaps about the flats or, at least, about the area in general.

Sidney Court was built for older people to live in. That has changed! There are now all sorts in there. I can't vouch for it now but a couple of years ago I wouldn't have wanted to live there.

No worries about being honest....I prefer honesty :)  The flat was listed as being only for 60+ or 55 with mobility needs (I'm in the latter catagory), so perhaps they've decided to go back to older people only.

I doubt it could be any worse than where I'm living now: I currently live in a 'quiet' cul de sac and in the last five years there have been at least five drugs raid, an arson attack, three asbo families, four evictions and two abandoned properties! (And a partridge in a pear tree!!).

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I'll see how I feel when I view it.
