It is part of the Cavanna/Bovis Homes development being built along Secmaton Lane.

I walked through Elm Grove Wood and past James Plantation only this morning. Trees have been felled in James Plantation and there are notices all along its boundary fence with Elm Grove Wood warning of tree felling.

I also noticed on the Elm Grove Wood side of the fence that circular yellow markers have been implanted into what is presently a very muddy pathway leading to/from Sandy Lane Playing Fields and into the woods. Does anyone know what these are for? I strongly suspect they are to do with the housing developement as I saw similar down Secmaton Lane way.
