Carnival Committee
I hear last nights committee meeting was a farce with people resigning from the committee and surprise surprise guess who the Queen and Princess are again this year(Oh there parents are on the committee) why doesn`t that surprise me. It is a shame when something like this great event gets taken over by people who think so highly of themselves. Should be left to people like Mike & Val who have given unselfishly for years.
Would like to hear your veiws
i quite agree, it is not fair on the other youngsters. i mean how do these ppl do the judging? i know i wouldnt have picked the same ones, some ov the children wasnt even dancing yet will have 2 dance 4 2 or 3 hours on the float. will be intrested on how the float looks this year, as it seems to be getting worse!!!

I've since spoken to members of the committee nobody has resigned last night, the only ones who have stepped down was at the AGM, which all those who stepped down have give a long service most over 10 years.
The judgeing is not taken out by the Committee but is done by a guest who this year was from Torquay. It's different judges each year.

People Are Going To Loose Interest In The Carnival If They See The Proggrame & See Tori & The Queen [forgot her name] Again Theyre Just Gonna Be Like Oh They Aint Different! Nothing New To See!

Same carnival royalty again. The judge wasnt just a lady from torquay, a member of the carnival commitee was also judging. I feel that this is completely out of order. I have been to a number of royalty selection discos and have seen the same young girls entering over and over again and not getting a place on the float. why not? they are beautiful too. If this is fair then how can you justify the same girls on the float each year.
the carnival is a inbred scam they is probably all related and as for the same royalty every year is the same its nearly always the same 2 as year before
the carnival commitee consentarte too much on the airshows these days,i remember when i was younger carnival week was all on the lawn,also i think it is disguting that the same people get 2royalty" year after year when my sister was attedndent you couldn't enter one year after another there were plenty of people there wanting to do it, also change the pannel oh yeh "who's parents are on the commitee"!!!
If the selection process is corrupt, then lets fight back.
I suggest we form a anti-royalist cell, and take action.
Eg throw dog shit at the royal float. (Then run away).
It would be both political and funny.
well u obv u wernt there cuz me and millie wurnt aloud to talk to our parents that night so it was fair! my dad was tellin me to get lost if i went near him or talked to him so the judge didnt get suspicious and millie has been picked about 4 times and thats because she is rli pritty and i dunno how iv got it 3 times. and before u say it was a fix, i only went to help that night and decided at the last min to go in for it agen! and that aint a lie cuz i had bin offered a place on one of the big floats! x
actully the guy that was helping the judge from TORKEE only joined after the last catnival seeson and didnt no eny of us x
