Just been along Warren Road and noticed that a new bootfair will be starting up on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the field where the Tueday morning bootfair was held up until 2010 and where the open market is held on Wednesdays during the holiday season.

This new bootfair runs from 2-5pm. Buyers have free entry (does that include those in cars as well as pedestrians?). Sellers - cars £2.00, vans £5.00.

Proceeds in aid of the Children's Hospice South West.

Thing is..........that there is a bootfair held in the adjacent field of a Tuesday afternoon which runs from 3-6pm and the same people as organise this bootfair also run the one held on a Thursday afternoon 3-6pm further along Warren Road towards the town. This one has now stopped charging pedestrians an entry fee (hurrah!) but charges cars £2.00 if they turn up before he official start time of 3.00pm. The fee for sellers is also about £7.00 per car, more for a van.

Weather allowing think I'll pop along to the Warren early Tuesday afternoon - could prove interesting.. ............

I would guess there will be a bit of back stabbing now, health & safety, planning.

The new boot fair has to attract people so thats why it's free entry and cheaper for sellers, but the sellers prices will probably go up once established.

The good thing is its good for the public (cheaper), good for sellers and best of all the money goes to childrens hospice.

Brilliant
