Hello from the newbie!
Hi guys,
Well I finally moved in to Dawlish about 6 days ago (Sat 23rd June). Have been busy since then fitting out my unfurnished flat, and unpacking etc. Start my new job in Exeter on Monday 2nd July.
I'm a 44 year old single female and have had a few major life changes this year: (1) after 16 months of waiting on the NHS I had major bariatric surgery in April, and (2) on returning to work (at my former London city job) in May I was greeted with the news that the firm was about to make 45% of us redundant and was seeking volunteers. I grabbed the opportunity to escape the rat race, even though I was only 3 weeks post surgery when I signed on the dotted line (eeeek!). Am now 11 weeks post surgery and absolutely loving life, being 5 stones lighter, and not living in the city anymore.
If anyone wants to get in touch I, do twitter and FB etc, altho I apogise in advance if a lot of my posts are very about my ever decreasing size and excitement about that (!).

Have a wander round the Bowls green tomorrow as there will be a fun tournament (inter pub/club) on from 1030 and a BBQ from 12 noon.
A chance to see some of the locals at play and enjoying themselves.
