Siew May is my favourite followed by Gay's Creamery. I avoid the dry pizza outlets.

I hear Willos is the MOST FANTASTIC PLACE THAT ANYONE COULD EVER EAT (if it was open that is!)

(insert mild sarcastic noises)

Willos for carrot cake and decent mug of tea at really good price.

No 1 for delicious pannini's (lovely seeded bread)

Cream tea's at Old Mill Tearoom

Carvery at the Smugglers (their lasagne is good too)

Not quite in Dawlish but I love the Ship Inn at Cockwood - really good food.

I find the Mount Pleasant Inn to be a bit hit and miss - have had some good meals but equally when they're just cooking for the grockles they're not so good.

Gays - lovely ice cream but much of their other stuff seems to use cheapest ingredients they can get away with.
