Dawlish Discussion

An interesting read in today's Dawlish Gazette 'Memory Lane, 25 years ago'.

National Car Parks expressed an interest in building a multi-storey car park on the site of the British Rail car park by the railway station.

What a shame it never happened.

Yes it is, I remember when that was proposed and several people thought it would be a good idea

It never happened because?

to be honest I cant remember what the objections were, the Grand Hotel was still there then where the flats are and there was a pub where the brainwave charity shop is.

the royal hotel was the pub
