THE future of Dawlish Town Football Club is in the balance after it was announced they had withdrawn from the Western League.
The 122-year-old club informed league officials of their decision to pull out on Friday evening, while the future of their reserve team, which plays in Division Three of the Fresha Devon & Exeter League, remains unclear.
It is understood the club are in dispute with Teignbridge District Council, which owns Dawlish's Sandy Lane ground, as well as the brewery which supplied drinks in their clubhouse, amid claims Town owe both money.
