300,000 pounds has been invested from the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust to set up a new mobile eye clinic.
The vehicle will use the Barton car park for its monthly visits, the first being November 22nd &23rd. Three members of the specialist nursing team volunteered to train for their HGV licence so they can drive the 12-tonne mobile eye clinic.
Dawlish is one of the towns to be visited by the RD&E mobile eye clinic, others include Okehampton, Honiton, Cullompton, Crediton, Exeter and Exmouth.
