WHAT IS THE BEST PUB IN DAWLISH THEN???
Well it has to be the Exeter inn friendly staff and good ale what more can you ask for.
there all pants! as we have so many pubs in this small town you would think 1 ov em would be at least 'good'
hosted by the best bar host it has to be the Lansdowne, open to both local and grock alike.
Depends on what you look for in a pub- if you want to be surrounded by teeny-boppers and tossers- the Lansdowne is the place to be! The pubs in Dawlish have gone downhill since Ray left the South Devon (going back some years for the teeny-boppers reading this!). It had cheap drink, a nice friendly atmosphere- and great karaoke / bands downstairs!
If you looking for great kareoke then you should go to the Teignmouth Inn on a friday, the drinks aren't that expensive and the atmosphere is great too!
the best pub by far is the south devon inn, friendly people and a great atmsophere
thats a laugh its only the best if you want too come out stinking of smoke, drowned in beer, want to watch big screens all the time, foul language, uncouth behaviour, see old men thinking they are a catch by oggling women who want to go out for a drink without being bothered and abused by the drunks at the bar
lansdowne my have the best host but attracting the best customers foul language, over indulgence, surely a good host knows when his customers have had enough and should maintain standards without a police involvement, behaviour is leaving a lot to be desired, clean it up before the 2007 season arrives how can you expect visitors to respect dawlish if residents dont know how to
sw whoever you are,,a big thank you,,we miss the place to ,wish we were still there,,was in dawlish last week and had a great time,,miss all the people who used the pub lol ray
Just look at the people that stand around outside smoking and always on the mobile. The blackboard with the football info says it all.
You have to go out of town, which is a shame but from a business point of view the pubs cater for Dawlish.
The Landsdowne, when owned by John and Sandy. Sorry Ray, I prefered you at the Prince!
To Ray and Jan
No problem, just telling it like it is :) Often reminisce about your 'happy hours' downstairs. Hope you're happy and well- wherever you are!
Sarah xx
You are still greatly missed.
From James, Mark, Scott, Paul and Richard... great times were had.
thanx guys, we miss the pub and all of the crowd we had,,will be back in dawlish soon
sarah,,thanx for all your comments,,not being rude but which sarah??please??
jan and i are both well thanx and happy,,i had a pacemaker fitted about 3 yrs ago and much better,,and yes we have a lot of very happy memories
The most popular subject in Dawlish .. just says it all! Always judge a town by its pubs.
The Lansdowne!!! omg what a shithole, everyone off there heads, foul language, dirty old men....pffff pubs like that are 10 a penny in any city, but most of you havent been out of dawlish so you wouldnt know. Most dawlish idiots LOVE the lansdowne, they think its the best thing since sliced bread..lmao @ dawlish twats
Now that the smoking ban has kicked in and it is an offence to drink outside the pub £75 smackers if you are caught, make sure CCTV can't see you. If it can, then you could also end up paying another £75 smackers for dropping your butt on the ground(litter). You have been warned and it could be a costly drink.
