Corruption in Carnival airshow?

What I want to know is why oh why oh why are the 'Dawlish Celebrity Wingwalkers' on the UtterlyButterly planes - not celebrities at all? In fact the only thing that could make them celebrities is the fact that the same names pop up every year - not wing walking I might add, but trussed up like chickens and chained to the top of the plane. Obviously these are just folk who like the adrenalin rush and somehow have inside "contacts" who give them a nod and wink and let them soar overhead, while the rest of use look up in awe and wish it was us. Are these (non) celebrities connected with the Organizing Committee? I think we should be told.

you too could be a wing walker, because all you've got to do is get sponsor ship to do the event for the carnival. contact a member of the carnival commitee and they will give you details, the reason i know this is because;
a) i read the carnival program
b) I was going to do it one year (and still might!)

So 'Jimmy Hill' - who has been a 2-time wing walker - actually raised sponsorship money?

I find that hard to believe. I daresay he got a freebie due to his "Celebrity Status" - (having the same name as a deceased football pundit).

can't comment on that because I ain't on the carnival commitee, perhaps you should go and speak to a member of the commitee about that at their next agm. I've spoken to a member today and it appears that the waiting list is only 3 yrs!!! so you'd better make your mind up soon.
