A Dawlish woman believed to be in her 70's was left badly shaken when she had her car stopped by two youths. One of the young men lay down in front of her car forcing the driver to stop. The second youth claimed the driver had knocked the first male down injuring him. The incident was witnessed by two people and reported to the police. One witness said she saw the one person throw themselves in front of the car pretending he was hurt while the other person tried to get her car keys. The youth who lay in front of the car is described as having a stocky build. The other was wearing a camel coloured coat and had a beard.
The incident took place at 5.45pm on Sunday in the High Street Dawlish. Any witnesses are asked to contact the police on 0845 777444 quoting crime reference number JG/08/2178.
