Hello there everyone in Dawlish I have just found this site. I opened Coastguards Cafe on the seawall way back in 1993 Just wondered if there are any of my old customers on this forum at all. I loved Dawlish and wish I had never moved away miss the Place SO MUCH and all the people that live there. Would Love to hear from any old customers that used the place. Take care Jan xxx

Hello Jan54.I was one of the people who used your cafe and It Is a great shame that It has closed.I miss It very much.Also I only used It while I was on holiday, as I do not live In Dawlish unfortunately.I wish one day to move to Dawlish.If only I could scoop the Euromillions lottery,still I can dream!!!!!!!

Hello Jan54.I don`t think I told you my name as I last visited your cafe a few years ago.However I did talk to a young woman there,mostly about trains,If that`s a clue.Also I sat outside quite a lot of the time.Just watching the trains honest!!But your cafe was extremely nice to visit especially after a long walk.Did you do large breakfasts at your cafe?

Hello again yes we used to do a large breakfast it was the Hungrymans breakfast. I'm assuming your a man who used to like to sit outside waiting for a certain train to pass by or unless it was the attraction on the beach lol. I'm so curious now would love to no who you are. Such a shame. Such a lovely location for a cafe. Anyone know why it's not been re-opened as a cafe again?

I used to use it for about 3 0r 4 years before it closed down. Great place to eat winter or summer.

I think its been converted into flats , although most of the building looks like a rubbish tip. such a waste.
