Floodwater as deep as four feet closed attractions at the Lady's Mile Holiday Park in Dawlish at the weekend.
Jason Jeffery the park operator is threatening to withhold his business rates after suffering his third flood in the space of a year.
Mr Jeffery blamed inadequate road drains for the deluge. He said he is battling against the clock to re-open the complex in time for the school half-term holiday.
Luckily the caravan area is not flooded and caters for over 3,500 at the height of the season. The problem is caused by inadequate drains surrounding the Little week lane area which passes along side the Lady's mile entrance. District councillor Ted Hockin visited the flood scene and contacted the local authority. Mr Hockin has asked for an investigation to be carried out which could involve sending a camera down the drains to see if any have collapsed.
