Teignbridge Council granted itself planning permission for a scheme which is planned to alleviate flooding at Hazelwood camping and Chalet Park.

The storm pumping station will turn itself on automatically when the Park is in imminent danger of being flooded.
As soon as risk of flooding has receded the two submersible plumps which will lift water from a storage lagoon in Hazelwood Park to the adjacent Shutterton Bridge will then shut down.
