The playing fields at Sandy Lane Dawlish are dear to the heart
of many town residents. Tesco is considering putting
forward planning application to build a supermarket there.

A group of residents set up Dawlish Against Developing
Sandy Lane (dads) in September are trying to stop plans going forward.

Tesco held a public consultation at the Langstone Cliff Hotel in December
where they put their proposals to the town and asked for feed back.

A representative for the Dawlish group Dare, attended the meeting,
he said the meeting became "rather heated" and others who attended
the consultation both in support and in protest confirmed this opinion.

Teignbridge MP Richard Younger-Ross has called a public consultation to try and
establish wether or not the town wants another supermarket.
The public meeting will be held on friday 11th January from
6pm to 8.30pm at Dawlish Community College
