A dimwit dad put his two girls' lives in peril - by making them walk just feet from a busy rail line.

The moron twice ambled across the tracks while the girls, aged around five and eight, waited patiently for him.

He then led them along the edge of the outer track as a train sped past from behind. Trainspotter Allan Wright, 25, who filmed the shocking scenes in Dawlish, Devon, said: "He jumped out the way when the train came by, but I couldn't believe it. He was an idiot."

Police yesterday branded him "completely and utterly irresponsible".
