The railway line between Exeter and Dawlish has been closed from 10.30am this morning after a body was found near Starcross. This has affected high speed trains running from the West Country to Paddington. First Great Western spokesman Lance Cole said: “The railway line has been closed while the police investigate the incident. “This had badly affected high speed services to and from London Paddington. “We would advise customers to check the latest timetables before setting off on their journey.” Passengers are advised to check the First Great Western Website for the latest information.
Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays can be expected. Both lines have now been re-opened however delays and alterations may still continue for some time.
