This stunning image of Dawlish, taken from over the English Channel, is the second picture in our aerial series of the area.Dawlish is one of the more popular holiday destinations in the area, evidenced by the numerous holiday parks, hotels or guest houses available in the town.
The first written evidence of a settlement in the town came in 1044 when King Edward the Confessor granted the manor of Dawlish to his chaplain, a man by the name of Leofric.
