The private equity-driven consolidation of Britain's caravan parks has moved up a gear with the £10m acquisition of South Devon Parks by the country's third largest operator Cinque Ports.
South Devon Parks, a family business which operates at two sites in Paignton and Dawlish, is owned by a Mr and Mrs Wrathall.
The deal follows the £130m acquisition of Cinque Ports by private equity group Graphite Capital in January.
