i understand that the police were out in force at the railway inn beach street.. i wonder if drugs were involved?

Yes, when I got off the train at 4.45pm yesterday returning from a trip to Exmouth (£3.50 return with a Devon & Cornwall Railcard compare that to the £4.85 return bus fare Dawlish/Teignmouth!) there were three or four police cars outside the railway station and police around the block of flats by the entrance to the station car-park. Then up on the Exeter Road I saw police search some young men just where the steps lead onto Exeter Road from Beach Street.
