Do you know how to join it? What is its constitution ? What will it do for Dawlish? Who else will join and how much time must they devote to it? Who is going to pay the membership fee?

I was a member of The Big Society. Until the diet did the trick...

I see that 'call me Dave' is this week doing some more publicity on his Big Society idea. Makes me think that if he is having to do a relaunch that he's received advice that he and The Big Society have got a problem. Don't know about anyone else but at the moment I just get the impression that the Big Society is treated as just one big joke by many in the country.

On a more serious angle, I am concerned about the 'well meaning but amateurs' aspect of what I think is being proposed via The Big Society.

I am sure many councillors are well meaning but that doesn't mean they know what they are doing, does it? (and I am sure that applies all over the country and not just in Devon!).

Do you see what I am getting at?

I think it would work in cummunity type places ..not sure about Dawlish!
