So that's how to announce government cuts, in weeks leading up to the parliamentary statement let it be known how bad the cuts will be, then on the day they aren't quite as bad and then we are all happy. A bit of a con really!

I reckon there would be riots in the streets if there was 'peace in the world' and no defence needed AND If we were all fit and well the NHS not needed!! Just dont forget the 'spend spend spend' 1997-2010. Wonder if Gordon B uses his credit card to buy his Gin!

It will be back to the bad old Thatcher days of the Poll Tax riots. Closing mines, selling off Nationalised industries. GB for sale to the highest bidder.

Poll tax was per the number of people that lived in a house.

and thinking about it now, was it a bad thing? i agree with the cuts why should i work my socks off when some people get more than me to sit home on the state. some girls get pregnant at 16 never work and still carry on having children which we pay for. civil servants milking the system with stress bad back rsa or some other non descript illness on full pay for god knows how long, so another person has to be employed on temp contract to cover their job 2 people we the tax payers are then paying for, unproductive waste. i dont get sick pay so only take time off when genuinely ill, this country is in such a mess that something had to be done( and lets think about it none of us really no serious hardship) we have just become used to the lives we have led. Bankers got us into a lot of this mess and i hope they are now made to pay, but also the lies we have been told for over a decade, i dont want to see my children or grandchildren paying off this debt for the rest of their lifetime. also i think the free bus pass and fuel allowance should be means tested not every senior citizen needs it like the child benefit taken from the higher earners
