Hello all, am coming back down to Dawlish in 6 weeks, for the first time in three years, and was wondering what has changed? And what is now in the old Woolworths site? Looking on Google Earth a few things had changed, and i cannot wait to get back down there!!
Unfortunately Woolies is still empty, along with Threshers across the road. Stewarts, down opposite the station has also closed down. The ferret & Radiator pub has closed. The Swan Inn has now got a restaurant and sells really good food. So, apart from that, not a lot. Hope you have a good time.
Not a lot has changed Stu - therefore it's still a great place to visit! The old Woolies store is soon going to be bought, whilst planning permission is being sought to convert the former Threshers premises into an office. Dining wise, since you were last here Too Delicious (next door to the Deli) is now a licenced premises serving excellent meals during the day and in the evening too now. Meanwhile the Old Brewery is well worth a visit for food and drink too. Have a brilliant time Stu!
the Welcome Inn (dawlish warren) has been taken over and does great food, but still no ST Austells beer (lol). Its still as great as ever here .hope you have a good holiday
