Interesting to see that Lee's Bar at the Warren are taking advantage of the summer season by increasing their "across the board" beer prices. Prior to Easter they advertised "Everything £2.50 a pint". On Good Friday, this changed to "Everything £2.60 a pint". Today (the first day proper of the season), this changed again to "Everything £2.70 a pint"! Astute business acumen, or ripping off visiting tourists who have saved all year to come on holiday to Dawlish? You decide.

Well DM. Dont drink there if you dont like the prices. There are other watering holes to go to. Why dont you drink in the Mount Pleasant if you dont like the prices at Lees hole? Its not rocket science, is it? Sorry, maybe you dont understand that. Ha ha ha. He who has little brain cell, and puts 2+2 together and makes 5.

PS. You obviously have something against Lees Bar, because Marine Garage ALWAYS increase the price of their petroleum and Diesel at Easter and Summer. Do you ever complain about that? No, so you must be an alcoholic.

Wasnt it £2 a pint over the winter months? Not sure about it though, never stopped in for a pint to see.

@DM. Before this goes any further, I sincerely apologise for my outburst directed towards you.

Dawlish man has a point, seems a bit of a rip off. I too noticed the 10p increase at easter and 10p extra for the summer tourists.Investigator you are right you can chose to drink elsewhere.I have done just that. As for the Welcome, great food now being served, far better than Mount Pleasant. they do a cracking curry. Just wish they would get St Austells beer in.

I've only ever had one pint at Lee's Bar and to be fair it was decent enough, however it's not really my kind of pub. I agree with JW that the Welcome Inn has come on leaps and bounds in the last 12 months, though I still prefer a stroll to Cockwood if we go out for a drink. Or over to Turf Lock or Topsham if Mrs Dawlish Man is driving!! :)
