Just like to let you know that one of the resident dawlish "winos" was down at teignmouth train statation last Thursday and Friday begging money from the schoolkids returning home to dawlish from TCC. This individual is a recent addition the white cider brigade and is probably well known to the local traders for his efforts in relieving them of their stock. He is a young person of say late teens early 20s with long greasy hair, and can become quite nasty if given the brush off. TCC has been informed, but please warn you kids that this guy is to be avoided and to contact the station staff if he approaches them,i have witnessed this person in action when caught shoplifting and hes not nice.

Unfortunately, nothing will be done about it until its too late. The station staff have the right (I believe) to move him from the station as it is private land, especially if he is causing a nuisance and begging. If he refuses, then they should call the police, if they are not to busy putting parking tickets on cars, as that seems to be their priority.

The station staff at Teignmouth are incredibly helpful in my experience. In any event, they do not hand out parking tickets. Parking is managed by a private company. Don

@Don. I was referring to the Police, with regard to handing out parking tickets and NOT having a go at the station staff.

Investigator, Unfortunately the Police no longer hand out parking tickets unless someone is parked dangerously, its now up to Council employed Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO's)

The Ship Inn at Cockwood is currently serving a very good pint of Yellow Hammer.
