Thanks to Don & Ziggy for their comments. My original posting should have gone under Holidays as previous. The dog situation I am sure is common elsewhere, not just Dawlish.It was really just an observation. I'm not sure why the cat comment came from Sid? I never said I saw any cats on the beach. My wife & I are outsiders, but have been visiting Dawlish for years now, often 2 or 3 times a year. Sid must remember that we have pumped much revenue into the Dawlish economy over that time so I feel that we are justified in commenting on positives & negatives that concern Dawlish & the area. We feel we are almost part of the community. Lets be honest here, surely Dawlish relies heavily on the 'outsiders' for survival? If visitors like us decide to go elsewhere what will it become? However, we shall continue to visit Dawlish despite "residents" like Sid, because I'm sure he is in the minority.
