After gruelling research, I'm pleased to announce that the establishment that serves the Dawlish Chip Of the Year for 2009 is:

Model Fish Cafe.
Well done to them for delivering a chip that has consistent 'bite' on the outside and fluffiness on the inside.

Honourable mentions go to the two runners-up:

The chippy at Hazlewood Park, Dawlish Warren for cooking the best accompanying fish in town.

The Marine Tavern for serving the best 'pub chips'.

Well done to all entries. In total 18 establishments were surveyed, hopefully next year will see more!

Well done to the Marine Tavern!!! Not only do they sells good ale to swill down the chips, but they also does the best pizzas in town!!!

And the barmaids not bad either!!! Just don't tell the Gurt I said that!!!
