Dawlish Discussion

I found myself walking in Dawlish at 9.30 tonight, the town was as though asleep and I expected Johhny Depp to appear as in Sleepy Hollow or was that wishful thinking , sorry I digress.
Was this a one off, did fortune come my way, and all the miscreants we are frequently warned about busy elswher or a figment of imagination.
Is the town hibernating as not a soul could be seen.
Or was I visiting another time and dimension
