I would just like to warn all pet owners of the above product. Our dog has had dreadful adverse affects from this product. I have contacted the makers but they appear unconcerned. I won't post details but if you treat youR pet using this product YOU SHOULD READ THESE POSTS

I would advise all pet owners to be very cautious about using Frontline in view of the increasingly reported reactions to this product. It also appears that fleas & ticks are building a resistance to it & so it may not be efficient any longer. The best thing to do is discuss this with your vet as there are alternative products. I have found the electronic flea combs to be very efficient if used on a regular basis also you have to be ruthless about hoovering everywhere the pet has been, including bedding & skirting boards where fleas can lurk undetected.

My dog has also had a reaction to Frontline, could it be since you no longer need a presription they have changed the ingredients, I have been advised to use STRONGHOLD which does need a prescription.

An update on Frontline...

A committee colleague of mine told me this evening that they rehomed their rescue which they had had for three years as they thought their 17 month old baby was allergic to the dog. After tests supervised with their vet and patch test with the doctor it turned out to be Frontline the baby was allergic to. Unfortunately the dog had been rehomed.

Thats a shame the dog had to be rehomed, maybe STRONHOLD

Sorry didnt get the chance to finish -- maybe STRONHOLD or another flea control could have avoided the problem for the child
