I'm amazed at the poor condition of Dawlish station. It send a very unwelcoming message to holidaymakers and visitors arriving by train. For a town that makes a big effort to pretty itself up, it's a shame that the station is so badly maintained. Does anyone know who is responsible for the upkeep? It'd be a good idea to get it sorted for next summer

first great western own the station i think, so i have been told, they have a poor repuation for cleaning at the small stations, they tend to focus more on the bigger city stations rather than little ones.
Mind you, the state of the toilets at bristol temple meads is absolutely disgusting. We are still waiting for a reply from 3 years ago.

I believe the line that runs through Dawlish and the Warren has some of the most stunning views in the country. Whilst staying in the Warren i have taken my young lad on many a trip. Surely the owners of the stations (Dawlish one is not the only DUMP) could do something to put their stations on par with the scenery!!!

Anna ...The station belongs to Wessex Trains. Write to Alan Wilson (MD) Wessex Trains, Admail 3457, Exeter EX1 1BF. They do take notice of comments. I had a good old moan about the crowded 830am D-Exeter train and they have put on an extra one on ..now more choices.
