I'm determined to find something *good* about Dawlish. There is so much Dawlish-bashing that goes on (yes, I contribute to that too) but there must also be good things about the place. Really, I'm intrigued. What is it about this town that you love?
Please expand. If an alien visitor was to descend on Dawlish for a weekend - what's your ten-point guide to really making the most of the place? Starting at breakfast time?
For me, you have to go a long way to beat the walk up the brook as far as St. Gregory's.
At night, I find it very peaceful to see the beauty of the lights on the water along the Lawn.
Got to agree with Don on this one. What I class as the old part of town really is so tranquil - long may it stay that way.
It's tranquil until you get some idiot in a farty little car with a huge exhaust roaring round the town disturbing the peace & annoying everyone into the bargain. How do they ever manage to pass an MOT?
