The world-famous Red Marrows have been banned from appearing at the 2012 London Olympics because they are deemed 'too British'. Organisers of the event say that the Marrows military background might be 'offensive' to other countries taking part in the Games. The display team have performed at more than 4000 events worldwide, but the Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the display team 'too militaristically British.' Red Marrows pilots were said to be 'outraged', as they had hoped to put on a truly world class display for the Games, something which had never been seen before. Being axed from a British-based event for being 'too British' is an insult - the Marrows are a symbol of Britain .
The Red Marrows have been excellent ambassadors for British overseas trade, as they display their British-built Hawk aircraft all over the world.
The Marrows performed a short flypast in 2005 when the winning bid was announced, but their flypast at the Games was to have been truly spectacular. It is to be hoped that common sense prevails.
Another falsehood propogated by the Dawlish hater.
This blatant lie was first published in the Sun in September 2007.
2007!
This was then sent around the world via an email written by some moron.
Try reading the links below for the truth (rather than delusional conspiracy theories):

The Sun?! You can always rely on that comic for truthful editorial! Best get back to The Beano or Dandy
I've emailed my best friend in the whole wide world, Sebastian Coe, whose reply to me was:
"LOL. Not that old chestnut! He's obviously a nutter. It's best to ignore him."
There you have it folks. I typed it on here, therefore it must be true.
Still didn't answer the question did he?
Or are you the plonker that we believe you are.
Care to cut and paste his reply on here?
I doubt it!
So "the truth", gets a mention on google.
London 2012 and the Red Arrows: the truth
Martin, Head of Ceremonies, 21 May 2008
It has become something of an urban myth: the Red Arrows have been banned from the Opening Ceremonies of London 2012. As the man responsible for delivering the ceremonies for London 2012, all I can say is: it's news to me.
We haven't actually started thinking about our ceremonies for 2012 yet; we're far more pre-occupied with the Closing Ceremonies for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing this year, where we have eight minute sections in each which mark the handover of the Olympic Flag from Beijing to London.
So let me put the record straight once and for all: The Red Arrows have not been banned. They may feature, they may not. It's simply not on our radar yet.
Good. At long last, an admission from you that you were wrong to peddle this myth as if it were fact.
Apology accepted.
Whichever plonker you think I am - I guarantee to you that I'm a different plonker!
So go on, which plonker do you think I am? Amuse me.
Didn't the Red Arrows look brill when they flew over the London 2012 Party on the Mall this afternoon.
I've emailed my best friend in the whole wide world, Sebastian Coe, whose reply to me was:
I would not believe a word seb coe says, ask him how many companies he is involved in, which now have many of the contracts and will make him millions
That's very interesting, and if it's true then that is totally outrageous. Who are these companies and what contracts have they been awarded?
If he is such a good friend you ask him, some months ago panorama did a program on contracts and companies formed by him and others, if I can find it I will let you know how to find it
http://transparencyinsport.org/coe_stays_clear.pdf
Try this, and will try and find the program that exposed the companies and contracts
I've got a lot of time for Andrew Jennings - he's a top class investigative reporter who backs up his allegations with hard evidence.
It's a pity there aren't more like him.
Whilst I am most of the time sceptical of sensationalism by newspapers, in this instance I believe rightly or wrongly there is no smoke without fire.
LOCOG is led by Sebastian Coe (Chair) and Paul Deighton (Chief Executive). It is based in Canary Wharf along with the Olympic Delivery Authority.
Coe set up a company, Sebastian Coe Ltd, in March 2005 four months before London was chosen by the International Olympic Committee to host the Games, and set up an umbrella company, the Complete Leisure Group (CLG), to manage his business activities.
Perfectly placed to receive or hand out contracts.
Try this and after which you will understandably form your own opinion.

I previously said Panorama sorry for that as it was Channel 4 Dispatches
Anthony Barnett is another fine investigative journalist with a great reputation for hard-hitting reports.
Thanks for the link to the Press Gazette article about the making of the Dispatches programme - do you also have a link to anywhere that names the companies in which Seb Coe has an interest and that have won London 2012 construction contracts. Then I will be able to form my own opinion.
Thanks.
Thats a tough one as they are so secretive, if I get lucky I will post here for you.
On another subject, I am suprised that Dawlish residents did not react to the fact that Teignbridge council continue to collect monies from the parking machines in the strand when the lines are not prescribed as stated in the TSRGD, and they have been informed of this weeks ago.
Try this and then check yourself when in the Strand.

If you paste into google make sure you check UK as otherwise it will not find it for you
Oh. But a couple of days ago you wrote on here:
I would not believe a word seb coe says, ask him how many companies he is involved in, which now have many of the contracts and will make him millions
But now you're saying that you don't have any evidence to back up your astonishing allegations. I'm bitterly disappointed.
