As I listened,
I could barely detect
the song of the blackbird
amidst the cawing of the rooks.

I shall listen again.

This was my first post on the forum a few months ago.

The rooks now seem to have migrated and the songs of the blackbirds, although fewer, can be heard clearly on the forum.

However, I have always been interested in Corvidae and did find their conversation very stimulating.

There is a piebald jackdaw on the Brook most days. It has rather a lot of white feathers and looks like a smaller relation of the black swans.
