I could not agree more with the comments made on the opening page. I would also like to add. Why do the planning authority permit so many structural alterations to valuable properties? There is a housing stock of every description, from bedsits and flats to five and six bedroom houses, why is it necessary to demolish a bungalow and then build a house in it's place? Why can they not just go and buy a house and leave the bungalow for someone else to purchase.

Because houses are bought to make money, not to live in.
