Seems to be Pub owners on this site denying the negative but truthful comments. That tells you one thing.....they care only about their business and not the town. Nice people

I went to M T the other night and I have to say all were friendly. Not like that hole and exuse for a pub the Ferret and the Landsdown, although I do feel sorry for Ray. Should of kept the price open. That was a real Dawlish pub.

Agree with that..Ray great, Pubs awful. How has M T changed? What happened to old owners?

Marine Tavern is OK in my book; ate there last week and food is unpretentious but decent. Friendly atmosphere, but obviously very full of tourists at height of season. A good pub though.

I hear the MT have a new chef who is trying to get away from nuked dinners to something a bit more palletable. Although, he is still going through that transition stage.

PS I have nothing to do with the pub before you accuse me of defending anyone.

I think they should ALL be closed down.

And then knocked down and converted into Holiday apartments.

A pub is as good as the people that use it.
Judge any town by its pubs.
What Dawlish has fits the people here.

I agree. Knock em all down and build Holiday apartments instead, as you say - this town needs more tourists and less residents.

I agree. I hate Dawlish too. All them flippin' residents giving the place a bad name! Extradite the lot of em, I say, and bring in tourists instead. That'll learn em.
