Can we really trust our local Council? With the shenanigans that still persist over the Supermarket debacle and the disgraceful hushed-up 'change of use' regarding our new Youth Centre, questions are being asked of who Dawlish Council is really representing. It's certainly not us residents.

Now there is news that Dawlish Council is planning to squander more money, by building new Council premises. Did they ask us residents if we wanted something that is unnecessary?

Of course not! The same contempt has been shown over this as was shown with the 'change of use' Youth Centre/Remand Centre. Where on earth was the consultation with us residents?!

How about this for previous ineptitude! Can you explain why Teignmouth Council is only paying £35,000 for 12 CCTV Cameras, when Dawlish Council paid £80,000 to £100,000 for less Cameras? Could it be that our Councillors were far more interested in tendering out contracts to 'friends'?

Oh and let's not forget the skulduggery that has been going on regarding the Skate Park. I would like to shout about the good things they have done, but that would be like whooping for the Mustard Cress when you realise it's the best thing on a bad menu!

Thank heavens. People with intelligence who ask important questions. The thing is, can we truly trust our Councillors?

I wouldn't trust them. Have you seen how many personal planning applications they have put forward between themselves? Pure greed.

why else do they want to be on the Council?! Not to help anyone else but themselves, that's why! They do their bit for the town to throw residents off the scent.

They are very clever at doing 'just enough' to placate residents, who are blissfully unaware of how much corruption is taking place.

It's easy to fool ignorant people who can't see further than their little minds.
