Where is the input/explanation from our mayor Protheroe and Dawlish Council in The Dawlish Gazette regarding the very important news about the 'change of use' of the new Youth Centre?

What do we get on this weeks front page? Wally Protheroe with a pair of Ducks! What pathetic journalism! Also hypocritical on mayor Protheroe's part, considering the Ducks that are cooked and eaten in his Pub.

Where is this vigorous and important reporting Tom Scobie promised? Below is his manifesto. His words look extremely hollow, especially when this Ex-Councillor will not speak out against mayor Protheroe or Dawlish Council. Doesn't this make his appointment in this position pointless? The same could be said for other reporters on Council matters. Where is the investigation of proper journalists?

Mr Scobie's manifesto includes his "intention to ensure that, with the active engagement of our readers, the Gazette not only reflects the community but serves it with renewed vigour" and "looking forward to hearing from people with every shade of opinion and to covering the news stories which are important to them".

Can you really trust what is presently reported in our local papers on Council matters when that reporting is blatantly bias towards the Council?

He has to check with mayor Protheroe before he can send anything for print
