As requested by JD.

1. Go into Teignbridge District Council's website: www.teignbridge.gov.uk

2. Click on Environment & Planning. this takes you to the Environment & Planning page. Look to the left.

3. Click on Planning. This takes you to the Planning page. Look at the main page.

4. Click on 'View Applications & Submit Comments'. Look at the main page.

5. Click on Public Access. Look at main page.

6. Click on Planning (written in a plum colour but will turn red when you go to it with cursor). Look to your left.

7.Click on Application Weekly List

8. Bingo! - click on View List.

If you wish to know more about a particular planning application then make a note of its planning application reference. Then look to your left.

9. Click on Application Search

10. Type in planning reference. Scroll down to bottom of page.

11. Click on Search. Look to the right.

12. Click on Click to View. This gives you access to more info about this particular planning application. Associated Documents is particularly interesting.

13. Click on View Associated Documents. Suggest you check this every week or so as it can get updated with more info about planning app. and objections etc.

HOPE THE ABOVE HELPS!

Wonderful! Thank you for this information Empowerer. I can now clearly see from their superb website just how open and transparent the Council processes really are. Well done. :)

I might object to application 08/02923/FUL, which is to build a conservatory. I hate wicker furniture...

Joey, I'm beginning to think you are taking the wotsit now.

If you or anyone else wants to find the town council's website all you have to do is type in Dawlish Town Council and use a search engine.

Hi Empowerer.

Is that no.com or no.co.uk ?

I can't wait to see the Dawlish Town Council website! This is so exciting, I'm learning so much today - I'm really pleased you've joined our forum and I'm looking forward to lots more informative and varied posts from you.

You won't learn much from Dawlish Town Council website. They omit important and relevant content, when they should be fully informing the public they serve. Other Councils (for example-Torquay Council) have user friendly websites, entertaining full interaction with all residents. They also upload all information required, down to the finest detail, to assist this interaction.

Why are Dawlish Town Council so economical and reticent with their website?
