If you wish to object to a planning application this is how you can do it:

either email to: planning@teignbridge.gov.uk or letter to: Planning Department, Teignbridge District Council, Forde House, Newton Abbot, Devon TQ12 4XX

Make sure you quote the correct planning reference.

Valid reasons for objecting to a planning application are:

* Being contrary to local or structure plan policies or government advice.

* Allowing overlooking windows, thereby resulting in a loss of privacy.

* Having a poor design and appearance or being out of keeping with the character of an old building, or having an overbearing impact on an adjoining property.

* Resulting in the loss of important trees

* Having adverse effect on traffic, road access, visibility or parking.

* Resulting in noise and disturbance affecting local people.

Get objecting!

How's about any planning applications that you either:

1. Don't like

or

2. Have grave doubts about.

Thank you for your kind response.

Could you please provide us with a list of planning applications so that I can decide which ones I should object to, using the procedure that you have so kindly typed out for us.

Regards,
Joey.

You can access those yourself by going onto Teignbridge District Council's website and following the 'planning' prompts.

Alternatively look in the local press - Dawlish Gazette and Post. They carry all the Teignbridge Planning Applications.

Though I have to say, the press usually carry them about 10 days or so after you can access them online.

Hope that information helps to empower you.

So being polite is 'slimy' now is it? Well polite gets you further in thw world than calling people names.
