Council Thread-Youth Centre
What does everyone think of the massive change of use to the Youth Centre to a Multi-Centre, which will involve bringing 'disaffected' young people (including drug users, alcoholics) into Dawlish from all over Teignbridge?
What do Chicken Shed/Joey Deacon/Wondering/Would You?/Karen/James Taylor/Time Is Now think?
You cannot make these assumptions until it is open and you have proof that this will cause an actual problem to the town.
I look forward to visiting again soon as I am sure there are some changes for the better and the worst, but eveywhere has changes and not everyone agrees with them all of the time.
Because it says on the planning application "This proposal is a modification to the approval already given under NDD/05/04251/MAJ, to redevelop the lower floor into a ground floor level series of classrooms and training areas for dissaffected, unemployed and poorly educated young people in Teignbridge. Helping them to begin a new life"
In the absence of any definition of 'disaffected' from DAY, or indeed, any further information of any kind from DAY, people have reached their own conclusions.
Whether those conclusions are right or wrong is difficult to work out as DAY hasn't exactly been forthcoming with information.
