Ask DAY (Dawlish Action for Youth) they are behind the scheme. Alternatively contact Dawlish Town Council they might know.
Does anyone no if their a respectable company? As i have spent a long time looking for anything to do with them via search engines. And cant find anything at all. So does anyone have any links or no anything about them.
Its my guess that as a typical council, the typical thing that happens with council built parks has happened.(that the council has gone and chosen any odd local building company, rather than choose a professional specialist skate park building company such as gbh etc)
But i do commend the council on getting work started at all.
Building contracts go to friends of friends via 'those' handshakes. That's why they ( DTC ) are so keen to see projects like this materialise. A piece of pie for everyone involved......gluttons one and all.
Its just really odd that theirs no information on the web(apart from this thread)about bridge.
I went to sandy lane to have a look at the progress of the build. At the mo it looks to be going quite well. so far the whole place has been dug up, and i think walling is being put up. having said that their wer only two builders that i could see, on the whole build site
So iam happy with everything to do with the park except for its design, as its going to be a park specifically built only for skateboarders in mind. meaning that everything will be ankle height and square, all the obstacles will be street orientated because its a plaza(so there's no transition and only street, which is disappointing as a park should be an allround experiance)
Anyways my rants over.
