More net zero nonsense.

Given the Co-op's anti-Israel corporate policies, it can go to hell.
St. Rosie of the Dawson is mentioned in a BBC report about the parking charges, and one of her sycophants is singing her praises in the comments below it. It really is quite nauseating. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwypxerzp94o#comments
This is what happens when you have the LibDumbs in charge, with all their collective brains they still haven't got a clue how to run things and yet the sheeple keep voting for them.
The Greens are even nuttier than the Libdumbs.
But people keep voting for the Libdumbs even though they can see the damage they are doing, it's like they want the town to die.
Is this really any of DTC's business?
@DAC The only councillor I know of is the Mayor, Anthony James, who was spouting forth on Spotlight tonight about the event. He said British Cycling asked for it to be held in Dawlish, and the council in partnership with local traders thought it was a good thing. James said his was hoping the event would bring in "considerable revenue" for the traders, but judging by the lack of crowds on the ...
The Mayor has just been interviewed on Spotlight justifying closing down the town for the day, behind him the Strand was virtually deserted.
They may well be the recipients of the finished flats.
You definitely need to check the sell-by dates in Sainsburys, they don't seem to clear the shelves of out of date items.
We have a two-tier judiciary, of course.
Stalin said only last month that he wants a 20% reduction in meat and dairy consumption, maybe this is how he plans to do it.
What benefit does having Fairtrade status bring to the town, in reality what does it actually mean and do?
The report has been on the lunchtime bulletin. They are definitely not going to dredge the brook, but look at ways the appearance can be improved, so just a cosmetic job. The councillors are all guilty of neglect, if they had done their job properly over the last 10 years then the brook wouldn't be in the dreadful state we see today.
It's all rather vague this report, a little more detail would be helpful. Why exactly were the people prevented from speaking?
There's an awful lot of coulds in that copy and paste job, what is the source?
It's laughable that town councillors actually think they have some clout.
I wonder how much Council Tax DTC has wasted on this?
@carer The plain stupid are the people who wear masks and believe that they actually make a difference.
@Teignpot - reported, for the obvious reasons.
Carrie Antoinette is the real power in Downing Street, that's why we're getting all these loony green diktats every other day.
A few weeks ago when there were road works outside BetFred and traffic was backed up right along The Strand, I saw a taxi drive along the footpath in the Lawn and rejoin The Strand at the ramp by the Co-op. Taxi drivers do what they like in Dawlish.
Good riddance, Boris was wrong to include her in his cabinet, she's a Remainiac through and through.
Are councillors' expense claims made public? I bloody well hope so. Let's see if they paid for this jolly out of their own pocket.
Salad bags bought from the supermarket have been washed in chlorinated water, Remainacs don't seem too bothered about that.
In its coverage SKY attributed all Labour votes to the Remain cause in order to misrepresent the result, which just shows it is as untrustworthy as the BBC when it comes to reporting.
The results are on the Teignbridge website https://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/elections/district-town-and-parish-elections-2019/latest-updates-and-results/
The Lords sitting on this committee must have had a fair few jolly visits to the seaside at our expense. I suppose we have to keep the superannuated old duffers occupied in some way, given how much they cost us.
Barnier's "assurances" count for nothing, we would still be tied to the EU until it allowed us to leave. It's rather like the victors in a war dictating terms to the losing side. It would be a complete national humiliation. In 2016 we voted to leave the EU, not to ask the EU for permission to leave. If only we had politicians with backbone who truly wanted us to get out of the EU. If May's ...
I see May has been telephoning Merkel to plead for concessions in order to get her treasonous deal through parliament. When it comes to these negotiations it is always Merkel calling the shots, never the Dutch, Spanish or any of the other leaders of EU member states. Which just about sums up what the EU is all about. ...
You're having a laugh. It is the EU that has not negotiated, Brussels considers the EU project to be sacrosanct will not allow anything to undermine that idealogy. It's why after two years we are barely any further forward. The only option is for a no-deal exit, a negotiated withdrawal is impossible. It would help if we had a PM who believes in Brexit.
What do you consider to be legit news sources, The Guardian, the BBC? The link I quoted came from a respected blogger who has as large online following. There was a widespread and sustained campaign across Europe and the wider world against the EU directive, that must tell you something about the concerns of this meddling.
I wonder if these trains will be as popular as the HST, and still be a workhorse of the railways in 40 years time? Someone I know who uses them on the Bristol route is far from impressed with these new trains. I guess we'll soon find out.
This thread got derailed by Lynne, God only knows why she had to bring Brexit into a discussion about the car park.
Wollaston campaigned for Brexit until just two weeks before the referendum, but then had a sudden change of mind and came out supporting Remain instead. Wholly unreliable, and can't be trusted in my opinion.
The EU will lose its third largest financial contributor, the 2016 figures show our contributions amounted to 13.45% of the EU budget,. That's quite a large hole to fill once we've gone.
As the service will be provided free to its users, and also supposed to generate a profit for the provider and the Council, I am puzzled as to where that profit lies, unless users will get bombarded with adverts.
