Lynne the Americans have been spending a lot of time (as have others) creating warheads that create such a heat on impact and explosion that they destroy the chemicals in situ that they are being fired at to destroy. So it is highly unlikely that any chemical weapons would be realised into the atmosphere as a result of any bombing by the US. Having said that it isn't foolproof and my own opinion ...
@Carer - but he didn't do printing or developing which is what @Tracy mentions and as far as i'm aware he did give up the retail premises for various reasons, and it wasn't just about not selling enough photos
@Carer - what has the dog licence got to do with anything? responsible owners already have their dogs id chipped and already pick up after their dogs and make sure they aren't a nuisance and they are then likely to also pay up whatever fee is demanded so they can keep their pet - it is the irresponsible owners who won't bother getting the dogs chipped, don't pick up after their dogs and who ...
we watched the programme last night on Channel 4 and thought it was excellent. Very interesting to see how the system helped people in different ways back then. Hearbreakingly sad for the pensioner they showed, brilliant result for the chap in the wheelchair and VERY interesting to see how the lady on disability benefits with a list of things wrong with her as long as you arm behaved and reacted ...
Unfortunately Lynne while we might not like the tax arrangements of companies like Amazon, the fact is that they haven't actually broken any laws by doing what they are doing. These tax laws allowing money to be transferred across borders was originally done to stop companies having to be double taxed if they trade in more than one country.
