In the end all things rot, rust or get stolen by theives. Unity, community and brother/sisterhood issues are superior than things. Violations can pollute and distract us from our commitments to each other. The people involved will be visited and their things will be stolen from them. Their opportunities are being restricted and their self worth is in decline. The real perpetrators of your ...

Of course Lynne, pleasure to converse with a community minded person.

It wasn't my stock, the police took it for evidence, kept it for about 3 months and the retailer was unable to afford to replace it. Re logic I would not advocate banning chocolate I really enjoy it. I advocate education, information and self control. The indoctrination by the media ie TV, Newspapers, magazines and radio is financed by large organisations such as Thorntons. They lever a far ...

I bet Thorntons wouldn't have their stock consficated by the police if a couple of selfish boymen smashed their way into their shop to steal from them, as was the case with our existing sweet shop.

Oh yeah, and just think about all those anti obesity spin off opportunities that will be created.

Not so good for the sweet shop owner that has been serving the Dawlish public for the past years. You know the one with a genuine personal interest in the Town and it's people, especially the children. The person who will go out of her way to introduce people to each other so that they can build new friendships and support networks. Good for the multinational branded business that has placed ...

Cheers Fronteraman, My comments were not directed towards you but were general comments. Re covered area we have covered areas but they are not used for the benefit of the local community but to generate busines. Covering the last bit of greenery in Dawlish centre is the last thing that should be considered. Compulsory purchase and demolition of buildings to open up the road system and take the ...

If you want tinsel town move to Torquay, the 'oldie worldy' is the appeal of Dawlish. Go to London, Birmingham, or any other ciy if you want noise excitement and pay as you go adventure. As for the crinkly and Eastebourne comments give it 25 years and if your lucky enough to survive you will be one. Community is about the involvement acceptance and sharing of all the community not just the few ...

The Strand

Trade in Dawlish is already difficult with the traffic. The ability to park in the Strand creates a multiple of frustrating variables and distractions for drivers and all pedestrians including able, disable, young, middleaged and senior, local and tourist.. Business rates, rules and regulations, online shopping and cheaper alternatives at out of town multi million pound national stores (NA TQY) ...

Sainsburys

Cheers Mac Sorry about that, I am so used to paying over inflated prices as an outlet for my love of Britain. Maybe I am waking up to the fact that consumerism can be used against those that artificially stimulate a demand that becomes an exploitable purchasing habbit. 6 cans of Heinz baked beans for £2.35 at Lidl, I'll be ready to pay my carbon tax. If I'm honest I think the meat from the Co ...
