I think I can safely go and scrap all my computers and cancel my internet. Clearly the anonomous "Fred Basset" has the answer to everything and will be runniung for council at the next opportunity

If only we had a phone line

It's rather disappointing that there is a three week delay to the project before they have even started. It frustrates me that the council(s) can't keep the public properly informed as to why this  is delayed. Giving proper information wouldn't have cost them much more than an advert in the gazette would it?

The lights on the brook have been damaged by the constant flooding, I understand the council are working on a resolution. the "swan" lights are another issue. For some mad reason it would cost a serious amount of money to repair them. I don't actually know why they can't be removed and replaced with something more modern. the lick of paint is coming. It's highly un-likely that traffic wardens will be paid an enhanced rate for working public holidays at this time if year, but I suspect the parking services office will say regulations apply year round.

Indeed it does.so what reason can there be not to have free parking on the meters as well? Because if that we're made the case, there would be no need to have traffic wardens on a Sunday, which would of course save money. I still think its a mere gesture rather than a practical rethink.

Same district councils, different rules to milk the cash cow. I maintained last year, that in order for traders to benefit from the free parking...it should apply to ALL parking, but 12 months later.....

And the wheels on the bus go round and round....so Teignbridge car parks will be "free" on Sundays for the winter. That's a good thing. But the general public, having read the Gazette, will fail to notice that Teignbridge do not control the on street parking-which is of course controlled by Devon county- and will park on meters on Sundays and the good traffic wardens will duly ticket them.
